Prayer of Complete Surrender

A Prayer I Had to Learn to Mean

Father,

Whatever plan You have ordained for me, whatever trials and tribulations You have set before me, whatever rewards You have deemed me worthy to receive—I submit to them all. I submit to You completely, for all good things flow from Your hand. I reject the fear I create from the unknown. I push away the worry and anxiety of tomorrow and the next day.

I reject despair.

A pair of hands clasped in prayer over an open book, with a beam of light shining from above.

For my perception remains limited, my vision incomplete, but Yours is perfect, my loving Father. You see all and know all. You perceive the deepest chambers of my heart, my thoughts, hopes, and desires. As my Creator, You know me more intimately than I could ever know myself. The love You bear for me is immeasurable and unfailing.

You see beyond the illusions I have constructed, past my false expectations and misguided wishes. I give You permission to enter my soul. I open the door wide to Your wisdom, Your teachings, and Your transforming love.

I submit to You in complete obedience. I trust You entirely.

In faith and surrender
